My Book: The Shaman and Snow White

The Shaman and Snow White: Ayahuasca, San Pedro, Shamanic States of Consciousness and Certificate 18 Healing

Certificate 18 healing; the most terrifying, explicit, no-holds-barred experience it is possible to endure. With no off-switch. The Shaman and Snow White offers the chance for psychologists and spiritual explorers to gain a deep insight and initiation into this mysterious shamanic cognitive domain.

The book weaves two stories into one; the incredible visions and investigations into altered states of consciousness under the tutelage of great maestro shaman in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest and Andes mountains, while being taught how to commune with the spirits of plants, and the emotional twenty year quest for his daughter, to have her in his life and to be recognized as her father.

As well as providing a comprehensive scientific and phenomenological treatment of the visions and ceremonies, including 25 personal testimonies of San Pedro, the book also explores the nature of consciousness, the cosmos of the shaman, the Tao, and the quantum theories of wholeness of David Bohm.

There’s plenty to enjoy in The Shaman and Snow White. Fair play for self-publishing such a candid memoir that, I daresay, will entertain and inform those familiar with ayahuasca as well as those yet to encounter the cultural, scientific and spiritual hoo-ha surrounding this soul-wrenching substance.

Arran Frood, journalist, New Scientist and Nature

“The Shaman and Snow White describes a unique odyssey through the many worlds of shamanism, filled with telling and important details of their healing paths. The author has had a wealth of personal experience, and, even more importantly, he has thought deeply about what those experiences mean, both for him and for us.”

Stephan V. Beyer, author of Singing to the Plants: A Guide to Mestizo Shamanism in the Upper Amazon

“This book takes us on a journey into the very heart and soul of nature – to a vivid realm where the powerful creative intelligences of the universe conjure up the powerful concoctions known to us as ‘matter’, ‘consciousness’ and ‘nature’.  Read this book and discover possibilities for re-ensouling nature that are so urgently needed in this time of global crisis.”

Dr Stephan Harding, Head of Holistic Science at Schumacher College, author of Animate Earth: Science, Intuition and Gaia

“Robinson’s discourse is a territory that blends the shamanic approach to psychedelics, with the psychotherapeutic drug models developed in the 1950s and 1960s with LSD. As a communication of information, this approach works better narratively, rather than critically, due in part to the personal-psychological thread on which the text is constructed. In conclusion, however, The Shaman and Snow White is a neat, little addition to psychedelic-shaman literature, it has some intriguing ideas and Robinson has used his own story admirably to explore ayahuasca and San Pedro.”

One Response to “My Book: The Shaman and Snow White”

  1. Beautifully put together site and looking forward to learning more esp about Celtic Shamanisim we need a rebirth of this in britain as although I honor the good red path as a new practicing and hopeing to be a true celtic shaman the symbols and animals taught so far here are more relevent to american indiginous culture and the relevence is lost in the UK. I have tried to involve myself with a tea ceremony in the UK but it is a closely garded ceremony open to a few, so i have not been able to benefit as yet! seems a shame to have to travel to another continent to be able to connect with nature spirits and recieve understanding and healing from mother earth, one day in the future i deam of a fearless shaman a ceremony tea facilitator who can teach and share openly with others in Great britain I think its time.
